George Washington - well you know him.  John Philip Sousa - the march king - well you know him too.

My dad was 22 when this was written. In college, about 1970 or so, I was in a University band that played it and he came to the concert.  He didn't remember it specifically but I saw him think about things..you could see it in his eyes.

I miss my dad as he died about 14 years ago right about now.  I love the march.  Loved  both of them as a matter of fact.
