Prinsengracht 263...The Frank family lived upstairs.

This is the birthday of Annelies Marie Frank of Amsterdam, of the Frank Family that hid in a closed room for a couple years to avoid the Nazis. She would have been 84 if she hadn't been spirited away by murderers and contracted typhus. She was captured on August 4, 1944. She almost survived. The allies were in North France and moving her way.  You can read about it here in simple version. Of course you can read about it in depth in a million places.

The next time some Tea Party idiot walks by and tries to explain why and how he wants to purify the country...you might want to grab him/her by the ear and hold this up to his eyes.  

Then you can punch him right square in the nose.
