Chump Change

Dear Lord!  BP snuck out a little PR in the news this morning.  Seems our friends have spent about 1.25 Billion Dollars in the last 50 days cleaning up their spilled milk. Now let's see. Their after tax net profits run about 50 million dollars a day. They are ready to pay a quarterly divident amounting to 12 billion dollars or about 400 million dollars a day.  They have spend about 20 million a day so far on the project. It's like buying a McD's value meal for them.

I suppose we are to feel sorry for them. It deflects the proposed quarterly divident announcment from last week and their quarterly earnings statement due in about 4 weeks. Boy these guys sure know how to tell a story!
