You can see the commercial here. You can see a nesting ground for pelicans with an oil containment boom behind them. You can read a short article about BP thinking that the current spill is "unlikely or vitually impossible".
I'm realistic enough to get it about the need for oil and we are stuck with a lot of this need just because we haven't really gotten smart yet or inventive enough yet.
Just a simple thought though. Let's put all the BP officers...every manjack one of them...on a bus to the gulf coast and have them clean the oil sludge off wildlife for what? maybe the next 10 years? Sound about right? And everytime some poor hapless bird or animal dies due to oil contamination we just get some big lug to take a random BP employee - preferably the CEO - and punch him right square in the nose...really hard..close up ... big fist.
