Fragile Planet

Just a couple questions here. First, and not to be a-political or worse, not patriotic, but do you notice that the earth from space always seems to show the western hemisphere (us?) - as if we only see one side of the moon those in space only see one side of earth? Doesn't matter a lot because only about 25% of high school seniors recognize the planet let alone the continents.

Second is BP and this picture as in "what is wrong with this picture"?  As I see it, this is our Earth. It is our only Earth. That little marble in the background is the moon.  It will cost about a millon dollars a second to support life there so the Goldman Sachs types can only last part of the trading day if forced to go there.  So back to BP. What or Who gave them the right to think they could stink stuff up for us on this marble?  God gave us feet and animals to haul stuff and somewhere there is a table or scroll that says: (and I quote)

Hey idiots. I'm giving you a great place to live. Lots of stuff underground and in the oceans and lakes and rivers. You can grow anything here if you use your brains.Go out and play. Let your minds invent...but as dads are want to say..play, have fun BUT DON'T BE STUPID.
