Texas ranks in the bottom 1/3 in high school graduation rates - well below the national average.
I just point this out to you not because I don't appreciate the fun of high school football games because in perspective, they are part of the overall experience. I went to Bay City (MI) Central way back when and it was a Class A power - always in the top 10 in the state and fun to watch and be a part of it. But this Texas monument to what? 60 million dollars when the schools have a graduation rate of about 60%?
