The Comedians and the Inventor

Watching our political circus...well this music is pleasing, clever, and friendly.  SUCH A WELCOME DIVERSION.
In 1940, Kabalevsky chose ten short numbers from the incidental music to a children's play I think called the Comedians and the Inventor, and arranged them into a concert suite. The movements are:
  • Prologue: Allegro vivace
  • Comedians' Galop: Presto
  • March: Moderato
  • Waltz: Moderato
  • Pantomime: Sostenuto e pesante
  • Intermezzo: Allegro scherzando
  • Little Lyrical Scene: Andantino semplice
  • Gavotte: Allegretto
  • Scherzo: Presto assai e molto leggiero
  • Epilogue: Allegro molto e con brio.

Like the political discourse, you've heard this music your whole life only with music it doesn't hurt you.
