Chopper ..12.31.2004/6.29.2018 |
I spoke sharply to Chopper today. He peed on the kitchen floor and then did it again some hours later. I will take that to my grave.
After 14 years of his exquisite company, he went to his reward. It was a hot day and he was having trouble with it, hence the random peeing, and old age, heat, and perhaps just being his time, did him in. He took his last breath with us touching him.
Chopper was a magnificent dog, pet, companion, confidant, and family member. We truly were honored to have him and be part of what we hope was a happy and loved existence.
Go in peace dear friend. See you soon.
So sorry to hear, Harold. You provided a wonderful life for him, and it sounds like his last moments, like all his moments, were filled with love.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kevin. It was nice of you to comment. Very sad this morning without him. I still made the extra scrambled egg.
