I won't make a quip about pollen and the morning dew causing us with spring-like allergies to go out of our minds.
Just think for a second about being in bed, an open window and the night air. Remember that last second between absolute night and speck of grey dawn. It is so short and alas over with in a blink.
It is how things are to the senses that is remarkable about this time of night/morning.
We can't see it.
The silence gives no clue.
It is cold on our skin.
The taste buds are of no use.
It is the smell we will always remember.
