I have 4 grand daughters who really live in the world. They gobble up every inch of it and then some. Everyone is currently 13 to 16 years old and all are 25+ if you catch my drift. We say when they get older they are going to be a handful. They decided not to wait.
We have at times talked a lot about elephants when they visit as one of us is pretty sure there are whole herds of them lurking about outside just waiting to be seen.
These stories are met with Shirley Temple eyes of disbelief so from time to time we find a photo of one and try and figure out where it was hiding. It is a good point for all of us.
Under the Tuscan Sun is a good book and good movie full up with good quotes and observations. The "elephant" caption (above picture) has one of them and this is one I want my grand daughters to keep in their mind's heart.
If you grow old, please do so as a child.
