Well what can I say.
The big roller coaster at Coney Island opened up 133 years ago Sunday. First one.
Today, 132 years ago the Statue of Liberty arrived in pieces from France. I've always liked the picture of the torch in Washington Square Park, in New York.
Tomorrow is Father's Day and the town will be alive with dads and kids looking for omelets and pancakes.
Yes a whopper of a weekend, then and now.
Let's celebrate. Manhattan Beach March (the beach next to Coney Island and you can see Liberty from there as well - perhaps better before the buildings)
