For, in the final analysis, our most basic common link is that we all inhabit this small planet. We all breathe the same air. We all cherish our children's future. And we are all mortal.
I'm not at all sure of what to make of Mr. Trump bowing out of the Paris Climate Accords. Perhaps he liked the air of the 1960s and 70s. It wouldn't be so hot from Trump Tower but he won't be going back there. Perhaps when the putting greens die off from this mess, he will take notice.
A quarter million Americans die from the direct effects of air pollution each year and 5-6 million world wide. With 1/10th of China's population we nearly equal them in pollution.
Perhaps that number of "little people" who succumb is insignificant to him, or just so small a count that it isn't worth his time. Whatever.
