South toward Sag Harbor over the Oysterponds |
I pass this scene nearly daily for one reason or another. I'm tempted to take a picture each time as no two days seem alike.
A friend of mine lives in LA and takes a lot of pictures of interesting places he sees in his travels or just bipping around town. On the other side of the coin is the person who stands in exactly the same spot and just takes a picture, spliced together, they become a motion picture not governed by frame speed but measured in days or day-speed.
I'm thinking of the pyramids or Stonehenge or all those wondrous spots in Mexico where time is measured on a calendar that is set on sunrise and moon position - infinite patience over time to get it right.
I'm going to publish the next two weeks recorded at 830am each day. Same spot. Same direction.
Time will tell.
