You say Grenada, I say Granada....

I'm always impressed by shows of logic.  I've never been impressed by the illogical.

This Ukraine business is a horrible mess.  With the looming Crimea vote to join up with Russia, well it would be like Mexico asking for a vote on the future of San Diego.  Ukraine, of course, can't let that happen and Putin is playing his cards very well, which he can because he has most of them.

The biggest one he has is the one we gave him.  We have no moral authority. Our hands aren't clean one bit in stuff like this. That fact isn't lost on him or his people yet seems obscure to our politicians who keep urging on the same behavior that gave up the authority in the first place.

Eisenhower was our last president to get it right and stopped us on many occasions from using the military as part of the Department of State.  Since Ike, we had Cuba, Vietnam, Granada, The Canal Zone, Iraq, Afghanistan and back to Iraq.
Some we can justify. Some we can't.

So before we go berserk, we actually might be better off taking a longer view of things.  Just a thought.
