Concierto de la Orquesta Sinfonica Infantil Nacional de Venezuela
I've been a big fan of youth orchestras my whole life dating from the one I first joined over half a century ago through a few I conducted and now in admiration for "The System" that brings music to the kids in Venezuela. Dudamel, the current conducting rage, came from there and there are half a million kids who get free lessons, instruments, ensembles and love.

The kids in the picture are being led by Simon Rattle, conductor of the Berlin Philharmonic. They are playing at the Salzburg Festival.  He (Rattle) is a big cheese. He travels to Venezuela regularly to work with the various orchestras there.  He doesn't waste his time.

The orchestra is made up of kids from 8-13 years old and you need to watch and listen and then go to your local board of education and scream at them. Music in our schools?  Music in our country.
