Kansas and Ellen Page

Ellen Page - Never to travel to Kansas for her sake
Ellen Page seems like a nice, decent person. She has announced she is gay. Her choice. Her business and her life.  A perfectly legal declaration that seems to have some currency under the law.  Except for Kansas...the state that is in a bumrush toward last place in the lowlife zealot category of mindless fools.  Kansas is set to pass a law regarding being gay and how that violates one's personal religious  beliefs.  Under the law -

When passed, the new law will allow any individual, group, or private business to refuse to serve gay couples if “it would be contrary to their sincerely held religious beliefs.” Private employers can continue to fire gay employees on account of their sexuality. Stores may deny gay couples goods and services because they are gay. Hotels can eject gay couples or deny them entry in the first place.
If you have a "religious" belief that whites and blacks
can't mix - well your ticket is about to  get punched.
Businesses that provide public accommodations—movie theaters, restaurants—can turn away gay couples at the door. And if a gay couple sues for discrimination, they won’t just lose; they’ll be forced to pay their opponent’s attorney’s fees.

I make the point of this obnoxious, homophobic, neo-Nazi movement and let's call it for what it is...well substitute "black" for gay and if my personal religious beliefs didn't tolerate blacks , well....Then how about Jews.... how about just about any group that doesn't fit the neo-Nazi views of Kansas legislatures.

Make no mistake, this is foisting religion on the populace in the most disgusting form.  It stinks. It is beyond anything this country has seen since the events leading up to the civil rights act.
