I sat in on a discussion on the ferry as everyone was of course talking about the miserable weather and the upcoming Sunday night blitz. Of course there was a "cold huh - what about global warming...? huh? hoax. Lefty hoax to ruin America". I wasn't in the bar, just in the main cabin.
I spent a few minutes talking about the difference between climate and weather. It didn't take as he knew what he knew....after all it is February and if global warming weren't a hoax, it would be hot as hell. I asked him if he expected it to freeze next August.
The nuance of the argument went pow-wiff-zoom.
