tracking geese in the snow |
I have four very bright grand daughters who love to walk our beach, look for shells and smooth sea rocks, and generally get sand in every inch of clothing.
During our walks to and from and around, the running "warning" is "look out for the goose poop" as we have a lot of those machines around and sometimes it is hard to miss. I'm very proud that they can identify most creatures near the sea by either their poop (deer and geese specially) or the tracks they leave. They can follow a trail sure as shootin'; even when the geese go in circles.
Maybe they will remember when and where they learned how.
