Leonid

Leonid Meteor Shower (singular)
This evening is the second night of Leonid meteor showers.  It is also coincidental to a full moon cycle.  I think I prefer the moon to the off and on chance of a shooting star....especially this moon.

We pass through the debris of a comet (Tempel-Tuttle).  That comet comes at us from the constellation "Leo" so..well the showers of little stuff are Leo-nids/Leonids.

Now you know. I went out to see them last night about 3am; full moon darting around, little fireflies of comets, then clouds and the show was over. Something of a curtain falling.

Tonight is another "curtain up" after dark. The performance is live, unedited, and free.
