last 6 years. FYI
Not to bore you, but there is a site that Health and Human Services keeps about the cost to feed an elderly person - Social Security type but on the older end.  HHS divides it into something of a meager diet to excellent diet and the monthly cost ranges from about $225-$280/month.  It stays about steady for a year at a time but I looked at it year to year and it goes up  about 7-8% each year.

The chart above shows food prices up about 78% over the past ten years.  Same same.

The social security increase this year over last and for the second straight year is 1.5%.  The reason is that food isn't counted when the automatic increase takes effect. Food and energy aren't on the index.

So wonderful that senior citizens don't need to stay warm and drive anywhere to buy food they can't afford.
