Some in the audience have listened to him and admired his thoughts and observations for 40+ years. I haven't seen him live for 10 years at least and he, like me, has aged.
Where I've slowed down a bit and lapse into occasional (perhaps) befuddlement, he hasn't. His message tonight was about being cheerful. Smiling. Looking ahead and enjoying what you have.
Yup...and he was funny too. Good jokes. Jokes that make you smile.
