Albert would have been 134 years old today. I've run into a snipet of his life several times. The first was years back when I was in Ulm, Germany where he was born. The second was when a former colleague of his at Princeton (in the physics department) took me by the house where he lived for a while and I sat on his front porch. The last was in a town very near me.
There is a storefront on the main road near New Suffolk, NY. It has been a home to a number of businesses, the last being a do-dads store selling little things to decorate summer homes. 60 years ago it was a sundries store and soda fountain. Einstein was said to come daily for his paper and refreshment.
Anyway. Happy birthday Albert. We'll try not to let you down.
