Stop

I promised not to whine this season. I've held it in for all the pre-Christmas season but here on St. Stephen's Day and the 1st Day of Christmas (the Partridge up the tree thing) and Boxing Day - a day truly when all should be sweetness and light, I've bottled up a couple things, so here you go.

  1. Congress.  Lazy louts.  If the rest of us just up and left the office with work to do we would be fired or beaten with a stick.  I vote for both.
  2. Being mean to kids.  Watched a mom being unkind toward her kid in the super market.  The kid had fired some "off the cuff" remark back at her and she went off the charts.  THEY ARE KIDS.  If they mouth back - well, you taught them that by ignoring them, constantly raking on them, picking on them, and not being nice.  How stupid can this be.  "I'm going to shout at you and be unkind to you so you smile and be nice to me". Right.
  3. Grover Norquist.  Hey buster, these lemmings signed a "pledge" to you so you would give them election money.  These same louts also took a pledge of office. That one trumps yours. Go away.
  4. Stores that now advertise the same item for 50% off today that we paid bust out retail on this last weekend.  We remember these things like elephants.
  5. Endless email ads for stuff we don't need, didn't ask for, and never wanted to know about. Enough said.
Civility is getting short shift and it isn't becoming to our society or to the particular persons.  Do your work.  Be nice to others, specially kids.  Stick to what is important to all of us, not just to your world view.  Life isn't just about you.

I feel ever so much better.  It is gonna rain and storm soon.  I'm building a fire, pouring a glass of wine and listening to something nice.
