A piece written by Percy Grainger almost a hundred years ago. Lincolnshire is, well, Lincolnshire in England. A "Posey" is an affectation...(posing perhaps)....but more a scene or a snapshot of people acting out. Posy from "ring around the..." fame is a bouquet..so it could be a stretch and misspelled to think of this as a florist's graveside offering.....well never mind.
Anyway there about six of these little affectations dealing with scenes around Lincolnshire. It is complex music, tough to play, odd and eclectic. Just right for a rainy night....and I played in this band at State the first year it was organized....ahhh the memories and we played this on our first tour.
