Remember that set of lines from A Christmas Carol? When Scrooge talks about his visitations by the ghosts as "You may be an undigested bit of beef, a blot of mustard, a crumb of cheese, a fragment of underdone potato. There's more of gravy than of grave about you, whatever you are!"
One of the better parts of this season is that some brave TV stations air the old and sometimes first movie versions of the story and that grainy black and white seems like magic. That treat passed by just a few minutes ago as I had my undigested bit of beef and was wide awake at 2am.
It was a great hour and a half. Enjoy just a little snipet if you can spare the time.

"Darkness is cheap and Scrooge liked it"
