Our Miss Brooks

The holiday approaching must be for turkeys something between sacrificial Thursday and Bastille Day for our nearly national bird.  Ben Franklin wanted to name turkeys the national bird rather than Adams' eagle.

Back in the 50s there was a television show titled "Our Miss Brooks", a high school teacher with a cast that was pretty good - Mr. Boynton the science teacher, Mr. Conklin the principal and Stretch Snodgrass among other students.

There was one memorable episode around Thanksgiving that now, nearly 60 years later, is still fresh.
