Not fondue and not cheesy. Just maybe the best male duet in all opera. The words follow. If you want to think of opera as a "sung" motion picture that is fine and I have some confidence that people used to see opera as that type of entertainment. We get the latest Mel Gibson, 19th century Paris got the latest Bizet opera. If you view opera as just an early version of a talking and sung movie it might be a lot more accessible. It should be something natural to see and this duet is as good as it can possibly get.
This is one of my favorite duets, and my favorite version of it. What recording / concert is this?
