Ms. Bachman

Years back, almost 60 in fact, in the dark ages before television cooked brains, the radio was the entertainment and filled my mind's eye.  There is a station in New York City that broadcasts this stuff in the evening and when the atmospherics are just right I can tune it in.  Last night was such a happy evening and when I'm drifting off, I'm transported to my dining room in Dayton, Ohio, Sunday night dinner of tomato soup and noodles steaming hot, a black wood table, and all of us listening to The Shadow, Sgt. Preston, Fibber Maggie and Mollie, Suspense and Burns and Allen.  We would sit for hours.  To this day, tomato soup and noodles  trigger  those times.

Michele Bachman, truly a dim bulb, is putting on her presidential boxing gloves on by hiring Ed Rollins and having him light out after Sarah Palin.  This is truly going to be a bruiser of a fight with two lightweights competing for the ultra lightweight title of the far far far right.

Burns and Allen dd a bit where Gracie "ran for president", even going so far as to have a whistle stop campaign with Gracie giving speeches from the back of a train as it went from here to their and the entire thing was a great hit.  Some wag at the radio station noted Ms. Bachman's leap into the race and her mouthpiece's shoutout to Ms. Palin and ran this Burns and Allen episode.
