Bach (J.S.) cranked this out about 300 years ago give or take a few decades. It is usually thought of as an organ piece and if your church has a hot dog organist and a hot dog organ you might get this once in a while. I didn't hear it as a kid growing up except our honors band played a transcription of it as did an orchestra I played with in college. Frankly I don't know which I like better. These are three of the finest performances I could find. I know you are on overload but more is better than less in this case.
It is Bach at his most wondrous - at the end the heaven's part and the very light of God shines forth - and you can be bathed in the glory of talent and genius.
