Sacrifice

First of all the work always looks strange to me. The spelling that is. I want to spell it with S A C R A instead of the I and want to make sacred out of it because I don't think there are things a person can do that mean a whole lot unless it is for someone else and sacrifices are somewhat holy in nature - be it taking the last slice of pie to laying down your life for someone else.... we almost never have the chance to stand between a threat and a life - but we do have that chance about the last slice of pie. I wonder about those people who have parents who didn't teach their kids that you get more satisfaction from sharing that last slice of pie or giving it over outright than you ever could eating it.

It is the simple measure of things.

If you eat the pie that is your "1" thing.  If you give it to someone else then "1" you get the good feeling of giving to others and "2" you get the enjoyment of making someone else happy and "3" even though sometimes not expressed, you get the gratification from a thank you.

I look at our "leaders" who now have put on the robes of public service - holy robes - and are about to and have started to "sacrifice" for our greater good.  Do they get it?  Are they eating or sharing.

Just a question.
