Copland

I ran into my first Copland piece (Outdoor Overture) when I was in a youth orchestra in high school.  I knew of some of his works but only a bit of them.  I was a trumpet player and also played clarinet and this concerto was given to me to learn by a clarinet teacher/friend.  It was something of a mystery - large parts of it anyway - but the slow movement (2nd movement) was for me, playable after a fashion.

The NY Philharmonic has put their library of scores online - which includes Bernstein's scores - and now, with YouTube and this incredible gift, I can zoom back 45 years and see/hear what I didn't then.

Thank you.
