Repealing the "Job-Killing Health Care Law Act"

And why is this man crying you ask? Is he like Pinocchio - but instead of growing a big nose he cries when he tells a lie?

Within two days of real work, our House of Representatives will 'NOT" debate and will pass Health Care Repeal. They have come up with a good and catchy name for the "Act" (see title).  Just a little insight as to their effort is needed.

1.  It doesn't "kill jobs".  That is a purposeful ruse.  The proverbial red-herring.  A straw dog.
2. "What would you prefer Congress do with the new health care law? Leave it as is. Change it so that it does MORE to change the health care system. Change it so that it does LESS to change the health care system. Repeal it completely."  Poll take 1/5/2011 - 1/10/2011
Source: http://www.pollingreport.com/health.htm

Leave it as is   19%
Change it so it does more 46%
Change it so it does less 10%
Repeal it completely 26%
Unsure/Refused 2%

Doesn't look wildly unpopular to me but what Boehner is doing is taking the 46% who aren't happy with it the way it is and WANT IT TO DO MORE and counting them with those who want the current law repealed. Yes John, they want it repealed and a new law passed THAT DOES MORE.

I am so happy this morning that we have 2 full years of this deception to look forward to.

  1. If it doesn't KILL JOBS, why are 230 major companies and unions exempted?
    Do your homework.

  2. hello....they aren't 230 major companies...there have been 230 exemptions granted but they come from all over. I agree it isn't a good idea but don't toss up that as an excuse. it doesn't apply and doesn't make a difference.

  3. "it doesn't apply and doesn't make a difference"
    Great answer, my man!

    WSJ.

"The list of companies, insurers and unions winning exemptions from the new health-reform legislation has grown to 222, doubling since early November and up from just 30 in the month of October.

Companies and unions that provide health coverage for more than 1.5 million people now don’t have to abide by health-reform changes for one year beginning January 1. That includes 34 unions with more than 140,000 members.

Many unions had fought hard for health reform and were dismissive about fears that companies would simply dump their coverage if health reform passed. But they are now demanding to be exempt from the new law."

WOULD YOU LIKE ME TO PROVIDE A LIST OF THE COMPANIES? I CAN.

  4. Oh, and just for giggles:

Six more states joined a lawsuit in Florida against President Obama’s health care overhaul on Tuesday, meaning more than half of the country is challenging the law.

The announcement was made as House members in Washington, led by Republicans, debated whether to repeal the law.

The six additional states, all with Republican attorneys general, joined Florida and 19 others in the legal action, Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi said.

“It sends a strong message that more than half of the states consider the health care law unconstitutional and are willing to fight it in court,” she said in a statement.

The states claim the health care law is unconstitutional and violates people’s rights by forcing them to buy health insurance by 2014 or face penalties.

    SURE GOT QUIET HERE!

  5. Everytime I look up to see one of those gleaming healthcare insurance skyscrapers (check out Google images), I think to myself of the balls it took to persuade someone on Wall St to mortgage their construction at the mercy and deprivation of the 30-40 million fellow Americans left in the cold. Those buildings are swords in their sides.
