Aside from the obvious, what good does it do to put up a sign in English for people who can't read English?
Chester is Robert's son. Together they have held the position of mayor for 40 years. This sign is a few years old but the acorn hasn't fallen far from the tree so to speak.
Seems that the Mayor and former Mayor (better known as father and son) have been sued for pumping contaminated water - vinyl chloride contaminated - think cancer causing vinyl chloride - into the drinking water for a few years; even after the State of Illinois EPA told them NO NO NO. (read the story here).
