I read something in the WS Journal the other day about US workers facing stagnant wages for a while. The corporations are sitting on trillions of dollars, productivity has reached an all time high, jobs have been reduced in cost cutting and the economy is picking up (really?)...ohhhh I get it.

ReplyDeleteCurse them for finding ways to be more efficient, maintaining production, while reducing overhead and stockpiling cash for future growth when the "climate' is better. We/stockholder applaud them and reward them through stock purchase.
You do realize that a purchase of common stock after the IPO or another offering to raise money - I'm talking about your garden variety buying and selling - does NO GOOD to the corporation except to influence stock price. you do get that don't you?
