For a purported musicologist, your hearing is really bad, and your understanding even worse. Apparently you don't know that then=rep. Cheney was in the minority in 1987, that Dem Jim Wright was the majority leader, and that Cheney and the Republicans were dealing with parliamentary chicanery designed to (a) ram through a "self-actualizing" measure w/o a separate vote and (b) increase beyond what was negotiated $2 billion in additional taxes.
It is very hard to see what your "point" for the "right wing" is, since these machinations are the same used by Pelosi Galore until she had to have that gavel pulled from her clammy embrace.
If your unintended point was to remind Republicans that they must never again let Dems pull this kind of nonsense.....point taken!!
