Master and Commander

The O'brien novels that gave rise to Jack Aubrey (Master and Commander) are a real read - full of terms to the point that he published a glossary so one wouldn't get lost in the rigging.  The movie was the novel less time on shore in England.  A time when seamanship was more than sailing - it was leading and being a honorable man.  The movie should be required viewing in Washington.
