Out of Africa

Camille Saint Saens...well not a household name but perhaps should be. If he would have been Edison he would have done solar panels.  In short, he was one of those who had the Bach/Mozart gift. There were musicians in history who composed great stuff and then there were a few who seemed to composer as if directed by God or some muse god. Effortless. Unfairly easy. Just magic. Saint Saens was one in that league. I was out all day yesterday (sorry about the meager blog) and was crazy tired when I got in so just went to bed. During my trip I was sat. radio on and they played this piece (Africa for piano and orchestra) and I haven't heard it for years and, shooting along I95 at about a zillion miles and hour..well I nearly pulled over to listen.
