I've sued some folks in federal court "pro se" here in New York. It has been 4 months since i filed the papers and as the local rule goes, Pro Se papers must have a review before they can go to Marshals for service. Fine and dandy but last week I inquired as to the delay and was told that there were short of staff during the summer because they were short of judges. End of story.
You should be mad. I am mad. This is pure political posturing and partisanship. Further, democrats have the majority and aren't using it as directed by the votes that elected them. If majority "up or down" votes are no longer the case then we can elect 40 of each and 20 of another and let them just do nothing. What the heck?
