Our little area of the world has an interesting mix of birds who are as regularly as the months. The red wing blackbirds take over and then mass and fly, robins are early and late but we understand always around, now the marsh sparrows have a chance - at long last so they say - and on still mornings like this the terns and herons are doing all their last minute fishing - fattening up for winter perhaps? So here is Respighi's take on "The Birds" - just a pleasant way to picture our winged friends.
