There is an old fishing joke on the east end of Long Island having to do with falling asleep or in the alternative losing power in your boat...the next thing you will see isn't the coast guard to the rescue, it is Spain.
Due to our hurricane visitor the local news was warning boaters not to venture too far out until this "Earl" goes away. It is tempting not to heed the advice. The weather, even now at 6am is hot and foggy and it is going to be middle 90s yet again. You can't go in the ocean or the lifeguards go nuts and we are expecting 12-25 foot waves tomorrow..actually starting tonight. So for those of use who can only dream of a long slow drift to Spain...
