Thomas's English Muffins have what they call "nooks and crannies"... what the rest of us call an "uneven surface". But Thomas's uneven surface is produced by a special trade secret technique that only 7 people know and 1 of them is in court right now because he went to another company....well you can read about it here. I guess if you have a $500 million dollar business that you protect it although it seems a little crazy that 1. English Muffins are a five hundred mill business and 2. that someone can't figure out how to do the nook and cranny thing if they put their mind to it.
