In music history class or for that matter music appreciation classes in college you no doubt ran into this piece. It depicts the Moldau, a wonderous river, Vitava to the locals. I post this in that Ann Althouse's blog (a superb blog by the way full of her observations and photographs) visited a spot in Wisconsin with a much smaller but equally as interesting river in it.
She has been somewhat obsessed by rivers during her 1st year anniversary of marriage "field trip" and to our great gain. I saw this picture and thread this morning and thought how great it was..not only the photography but that she would care to share her impressions with us. Some shared it with music (below) and others this way. Times change but observation of nature and the interaction with people doesn't. Just a different set of methods.
