This is Max Bruch, a German composer of music. I was listening to internet radio just a minute ago and the announcer said that the second movement of his violin concerto was voted the most popular piece (favorite) by the symphony orchestra league players. I'm a member of the SOL and I didn't get the poll but that's o'k. It really is a great listen and on a middle August morning, the dog day of the dog days of summer, well you might as well hear something nice as read the news.
