Mozart died about 220 years ago. If you saw the movie (ever) Amadeus or the play on broadway by that name, it was a romantic and slightly inaccurate recount of his life. That's ok. He was a scamp and his feet barely ever touch the "reality" ground, his father was obsessive with his talent and, well frankly, he had the gift of ages. He wrote music as fast as he could write it down - very few rough drafts - just final copies made the first time through. No mistakes, no do overs, none of that. Just sat down and wrote it out.
He wrote 41 symphonies. Not a huge number but the first one was when he was 4 years old. What were you doing when you were 4? Anyway this is one of his "happy works"..nothing sad here...can we all say "uplifting"?
