He wrote swell music. Just gorgeous stuff. Here are a couple snipets - the 2nd movement from the "Pines of Rome" or perhaps this prelude to "The Birds"... well a lot of stuff.
Lots of people were born on this day - by last estimate there are about 20 million 7-9ers alive today. Hopefully we will get lucky again.
