I'm fascinated by ocean waves as most of us are who like the seashore. I live on Long Island and when there is a storm or passing hurricane, even 500 miles out, we get 10 footers at the beach and people show up - even folks who take the ocean something for granted after years of watching it, ohhh and ahhh.
We have read and heard a lot about the North Sea of late as there are drilling platforms out there and seem to operate safely. Those of us who are historians of sorts or enjoy history read a lot of stuff about the Norse rowing across the North Sea to invade Scotland and England here and there in history.
They must have been some rowers.
