I woke up about 4 this morning and by 415 I had coffee in a thermos cup, a full moon giving way to daybreak, the absolute quiet of the inner bay front marshlands, herons in for the tide, a few deer, lots of rabbits getting a headstart on an otherwise very hot day looming...it wasn't Wagner's Valhalla but pretty damn close to it. My soul is rejuvinated.
The Ring is classic. My favorite of the four of course is Das Rheingold.
