I don't date..much to the relief of any female and am devoted to my wife (that is 50/50 in her eyes) but I know good date music if I hear it.
You guys and gals squander mood music. You really do. Putting on new age or easy listening may seem like a good idea and simple but...well you need to think about things some. Letting the computer pick your stuff doesn't stamp you as anything other than "yeah like that guy". Don't do that. Show some class. Go for something that has been a romantic staple for a century and tell him/her about it...listen to the whole thing together. It may not be your thing but it is so far above elevator music..
