Chris Cox is the grandson of Richard Nixon. His family lives a town over in the estate section and his history is pretty silver spoonish....let's just say his idea of economics is a bit different than ours. He is running for congress here in the NY 1st for a seat held by Tim Bishop - D. Unfortunately that is D like in dumb as this less than sparkling light hasn't grown much in the job. That alone could make him vulnerable.
The other factor is of course the economy. Eastern Long Island is hugely expensive. The construction boom is over and the bread and butter summer crowds aren't here. Many businesses make all their money from Memorial Day to Labor Day - and I mean businesses for which there isn't any business the rest of the year so Cox plays the money card. He is a lawyer by trade and has a teenage fiance who he met in high school - not to mention that she was in high school and he was about 30 - what? outside her locker at lunch? Anyway, I'll just put some clips of him up here and there and do everything I can to give him some press. I'm such a good guy.
