This is Jeffrey Goldberg who is a muckity-muck at the Atlantic - once a glorious magazine that was as well written as the day is long. He is, nicely speak, a bad person. There is a good article on Salon.com that pretty much skins him alive.
He belonged to something of a fraternity of good writers and better journalism. He spouted (recently) about Weigel, the guy who got fired from the Washington Post "who came up in journalism without much adult supervision, and without the proper amount of toilet-training." Anyway this JournoList as it is called was a private sounding post type of blog where writters could write and compare notes with the assuranance that their work and thoughts would be 1. kept private and 2. not stolen. Goldberg managed to do both and betrayed everyone.
I don't like people who betray trusts - who simply go behind your back while lying to your face. I don't like Goldberg. Fill in the dots.
